National Science Day Celebration
Karnataka State Council for Science and
Technology (KSCST), Department of Science and Technology, Government of
Karnataka and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India,
New Delhi are jointly organizing National Science Day 2015 Celebrations on
28th February 2015 at J. N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science,
Bengaluru.
We would like to bring to your kind
information that "SCIENCE FOR NATION BUILDING" is
the theme of this year National Science Day. In this respect, KSCST is
conducting various competitions namely, Poster competition, On-the-Spot painting competitions and Science Essay Competitions on the theme for the
students of Higher Primary and High Schools in Bengaluru.
The painting competition is scheduled to be
conducted on Sunday, the 15th February 2015 from 10.00 AM to 12.30 Noon
at the Indian Institute of Science (Behind Tata Statue, IISc Main
Building).
The National Science Day function will be
held on 28th February 2015 at at J. N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of
Science, Bangalore.
KSCST has organized popular lectures by
eminent scientists from premier institution on related topics on the theme "SCIENCE
FOR NATION BUILDING". It
will be followed by prize distribution to students, for various
competitions held during February 2015 - On-the-spot painting competition,
Essay and Poster Competition. We are expecting about 800 students from
various Higher Primary and High schools across Bengaluru to participate in
this programme. The winning Paintings and posters will be exhibited at J.
N. Tata Auditorium.

National Science Day - 2015 celebrations
Karnataka State Council for Science and

Karnataka and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India,
New Delhi are jointly Celebrating National Science Day - 2015 on 28th
February 2015 at J. N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science,
Bengaluru. The theme of this year's National Science Day is "SCIENCE
FOR NATION BUILDING".
On this occasion, the Council had organized
various competitions such as on-the-spot Painting Competition, Essay and
Poster Competition is organized for Higher Primary and High School
Students of Bengaluru City. The winners of these competitions will be
awarded during the National Science Day celebrations on 28th February
2015.
The programme will be inaugurated by
Prof. S. Ramasesha, Dean - Sciences, Indian Institute of Science,
Bangalore. Dr. (Smt) Tejaswini Ananth Kumar, Chair Person, Adamya Chetana
Foundation, Bangalore will be the Chief Guest of the function. Dr. M. Prithviraj, Executive Secretary, KSCST
will address the gathering. The
president of the function will be Prof. M. S. Mohan Kumar, Secretary,
KSCST and Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of
Science, Bangalore.
The Council
has arranged three technical lectures as follows :
At 11.00 AM - Lecture 1 by Shri. B. R.
Guruprasad, Director, Public Relations Office, ISRO, Bangalore
At 11.45 AM - Lecture 2 by Dr. K. N. Sridhar,
Sri Shankara Research Centre, Bangalore
At 12.15 PM - Lecture 3 by Dr. Vidya T.N.C.,
Ramanujan Fellow, Evolutionary and Organisamal Biology Unit, Jawaharlal
Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore.
and at 2.00 PM Quiz on Rainwater Harvesting
and Water Conservation by High School Students has been arranged.
Valedictory and Prize Distribution Function
At 3.00 PM the Valedictory and Prize
Distribution function has been arranged.
Prof. S. Shettar, Visiting
Professor, School of Humanities National Institute of Advance Studies,
Bangalore will be addressing the gathering and will distribute prizes to
the winning students of various competitions held on the ocassion of National Science
Day Celebrations 2015.

2014 ರಂದು
ಜೆ.ಎನ್. ಟಾಟಾ ಆಡಿಟೋರಿಯಂನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಾಲಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ
ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆ "ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ
ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದ ಕೊಡುಗೆ".
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ, ಮಂಡಳಿಯು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲಾ
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಚಿತ್ರ ಬರೆಯುವ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ, ಪ್ರಬಂಧ ಸ್ಥರ್ದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೋಸ್ಟರ್
ರಚನೆ ಸ್ಫರ್ದೆಯನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳ ವಿಜೇತರನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ
ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 800 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಂದ
ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋ. ಎಸ್. ರಾಮಶೇಷ, ಡೀನ್ - ಸೈನ್ಸ್, ಇಂಡಿಯನ್
ಇನ್ಸಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಪ್ ಸೈನ್ಸ್, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಇವರು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ
ಅತಿಥಿ ಡಾ. ತೆಜಸ್ವಿನಿ ಅನಂತ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಅದಮ್ಯ ಚೇತನ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಹಾಗೂ ಈ

ಮಂಡಳಿಯು ಮೂರು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಕೆಳಕಂಡಂತೆ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸಂಗ್ರಹ ಹಾಗೂ ನೀರಿನ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ರಸಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ.
ಈ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ವಿಜೇತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪುರಸ್ಕರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು.
ಸಂಜೆ 3.00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉನ್ನತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರೋ. ಶೆಟ್ಟರ್
ರವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನ ವಿತರಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
